Everything the platform does rests on one decision: the season's record is the producer's asset, and every other party reads it by permission.

Why it is not ours
A grower's history — what was planted, what was applied, what was delivered, what was owed and what was paid — is what makes them financeable and what makes their crop saleable into a demanding market. Trapping it inside whichever scheme they supplied in a given season converts an asset into a dependency.
It is also the only arrangement that survives scrutiny. A buyer relying on an attestation wants to know the record was not produced by the party with the most to gain from it.

How access actually works
- Granted, not assumed
- Nobody inherits access by being upstream, by being the financier, or by having introduced the grower.
- Scoped
- A buyer, a financier and an extension officer can hold different views of the same season.
- Revocable
- A grant can be paused and withdrawn by the party whose data it is.
- Visible
- Reads leave a trail, and so do refusals, so the owner can see who looked rather than only who currently holds access.
